Self- Pity Taking Life For Granted
I admit that there are times that I focus more on what I am lacking in life instead of concentrating on all that life has to offer. Throwing a self pity party comes to mind. Self pity is so addictive that it can create situations in your life that you weren't even aware existed. The more you indulge in it, the more you seem to justify it. The problem is that self pity often leads to frustration, anxiety, envy and jealousy. You can't focus on success, if you're always looking around at how much better everyone else is doing, or how poorly you are doing. Congratulate other people's success. Look at your misfortunes as stepping stones for greater things in life. Don't let self pity rob you of a good life.

So true! Self-pity, like self-confidence, feeds on itself. I would much rather be on the merry-go-round of self-confidence than the black hole of self-pity. not that I'm any better at being confident that other people. It is a constant...struggle, but worth it.
